- By using DSM, you may link the BRFplus design-time system to a distant system (the managed system) to access data structures that are located there.
- You may roll out the BRFplus function as a service to one or more managed systems after creating and successfully testing new rules. The controlled systems can then make calls to the deployed services. The solution enables you to do a test deployment before deploying a service to see whether everything is working as it should.
- After a service has been successfully installed, you can export its source code (with or without lean trace support). The managed system stores the source code as well as an XML representation of every BRFplus object connected to a certain service. This is used to return the rule model to the state it was in when the service was launched.
- Any SAP system that is based on SAP NetWeaver 2004 (software component SAP BASIS 640) or above may be used as a managed system. In a system context that would typically not support BRFplus, you may now build rules logic powered by BRFplus.
- Services may be introduced such that they take effect at a certain future date.
